The Stewart Organization is pleased to announce the new appointment and promotion effective October 1, 2022, of Jim Tolbert as President. Mike Braswell, who has served as President for 16 years and oversaw the expansion into the Texas market, will transition into the role of President Emeritus. We are thankful for his leadership and direction in establishing Stewart as a leader in its market. The Stewart Organization would like to congratulate each of them on their new roles.

About Jim Tolbert

With over 24 years at Stewart, Jim Tolbert has exemplified the culture and values that has set The Stewart Organization apart. His vast background and experience in both Service and Sales has allowed Jim to fully understand Stewart’s commitment and dedication to our customers and our employees. Jim’s ability to focus on execution and building out Stewart’s vision, motivate his teams, inspire others, and put the customers experience at the forefront is among the many qualities that has helped him throughout his career.

In 1998, Jim began his career with The Stewart Organization in Birmingham, AL as a Field Service Technician. Ten years later, Jim with his wife Paige and their sons, Riley, and Cooper, relocated to Houston, TX where he was tasked with opening and managing the startup of the Houston location.  Prior to his role as President, Jim has held multiple positions most recently as Senior Vice President. His proven ability to grow the Houston market and develop new business opportunities has been instrumental in Stewart’s growth.
